Celebration of Siblings Day!

Siblings Day was April 10th so I thought I would make a post celebrating my relationship with my brother, Evan, and talk about how it has changed over time! This week in my communications class we learned about Knapp's relational model. A still from our lecture detailing the model can be seen below.

Since, I'm the oldest child I've known both of my siblings my whole life however my brother being only two years younger the me has the had the most relationship maintenance which is why I chose to discuss our relationship instead of the one with my younger sister. We have went through all of the stages of coming together and our currentlty in the differentiating stage. While we both love to hike, camp, and backpack we have slowly diverged over the years in our academic and extracurricular interests. He loves all things finance and right now is really into using artifical intelligence bots to paper trade in his free time. And I love all things anthropology specifically medical anthropology, learning all about pregnancy and mental health and problem solving how to help people.

Til next week,
Emmily
